A multipurpose treehouse protected with factory applied EnduroShield

The multipurpose Bardon Treehouse is one such collaborative project we cannot pass up the opportunity to share.

Nestled into the foothills of Mount Coot-tha in the leafy residential suburb of Bardon, Queensland lives this multipurpose big kid’s treehouse which incorporates a self-contained office space, gym, studio, bathroom, and play area. The stylish semi-detached dwelling is connected to the main house via an accessible bridge.

Use of spotted gum posts and beams combined with glass railings created an aesthetic to complement the existing house, providing a minimalist look to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

Wood Glass Group was subcontracted by RYCON Constructions for this fun, innovative project, supplying and installing glass balustrades with factory applied EnduroShield protection. Baahouse, the Australian award-winning small house design experts, worked alongside RYCON on the architecture and design, receiving the Building Designers Association of Australia (BDAA) Chapter Design 2022 award in the secondary dwellings category.
